Rise Africa Rise, an emerging South African for profit fashion social enterprise, has recently launched its pre-sales campaign on its website ahead of the upcoming One Young World summit from the 2nd-5th of October 2013 in Johannesburg.
Developing a business model that supports cooperatives to achieve sustainability, generating regular income and create jobs for people from marginalized people has seen Rise Africa Rise being selected as one of the first grant recipients of the newly established One Young World Social Business fund at last year’s summit in the US. With the premier leadership forum for young people coming to South Africa and as one of the first grant recipients Rise Africa Rise has been given the opportunity to sell its products at the 3-day summit to aid the enterprises growth and social impact. In order to maximize this unique opportunity Rise Africa Rise is now selling its products which include Tshirts and armbands ahead of the One Young World summit which is being supported through the attendance of Nobel Peace Laureates Kofi Annan, Mohammed Yunus as well as Richard Branson, Boris Becker and rugby great Francois Pienaar.
